Description: The BYU Family Studies Center in the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University is sponsoring a three-day research conference on Families and Work, March 2022, 2006, at the Brigham Young University Conference Center . The conference covers a broad range of topics including: Flexible Work Arrangements: Help or Hype?; Effects of maternal shift work on family well-being; What Gives When Mothers Are Employed?; The Influence of Fathers Work Conditions on Father-Child Relationships; Work-Family Balance; Links between Job Conditions and the Well-Being of Working-Class Parents; Flexibility and Controlin Employment: Does One Necessarily Bring the Other? Family Leave and Workforce Inequality; Marital Relationships and Retirement; Uncertain Futures in Middle-Class Families; Families Reuniting After Work; Maternal Employment and Child Outcomes, and others.

Call for Papers Deadline: December 15, 2005
Applicants notified of decision: January 2, 2006
Deadline for acceptance: January 15, 2006
Guidelines for Submission of Proposals:
Proposals may be submitted for academic papers, presentations, workshops, and poster sessions.
All proposals should address issues relating to both Families and Work.
Submissions require an abstract of not more than 400 words, and a bio of not more than 250 words.
