The Todd E. Husted Memorial Dissertation Award was established to encourage contributions to the development of improved outreach and delivery of mental health services. A $2,000 award is given annually to the person whose dissertation contributes most to these goals.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Fellowship Open to students

The American Psychological Association MFP's mission is to increase the knowledge of, and research related to ethnic minority mental health and to improve the quality of mental health and substance abuse services delivered to ethnic minority populations. We do this by providing financial support, professional development activities, and professional guidance to students pursuing doctoral degrees in psychology. Our mission is consistent with Health People 2010, the Surgeon General's Report on Mental Health, and other federal initiatives to reduce health disparities.

Mental Health Research Fellowship Open to students

Funded by a grant from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the Minority Fellowship Program has created the Mental Health Research (MHR) fellowship to support the training of students who have primary interests in research related to the mental health or the psychological well being of ethnic minorities. In addition, applicants must have primary career goals of becoming independent research scientists or psychologists who work primarily in university settings.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (MHSAS)
