Conference/Seminar/Workshop Grants
The Foundation's grants provide support for research on Chinese Studies in the humanities and social sciences. The Foundation will consider applications from institutions for grants to hold conferences, workshops, or seminars on specific subjects related to the Foundation's goals and objectives.

Dissertation Fellowships for ROC Students Abroad
Application Deadline: February 15
Doctoral candidates who are R.O.C. citizens and who are completing the last stage of their Ph.D. research at an accredited university in the American Region (the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, or South America) may apply for fellowships for the completion of dissertations in the humanities and social sciences. Applicants for R.O.C. dissertation fellowships need not specialize in a China-related field. Only students who have graduated from an accredited university or college in the R.O.C., and who do not have foreign permanent residence status or citizenship, are eligible to apply.

Doctoral candidates who are non-R.O.C. citizens and who are enrolled in an accredited university in the United States, Mexico, Central America, or South America may apply for financial support for writing dissertations in the field of Chinese Studies in the humanities and social sciences.

Scholars at academic institutions are eligible to apply for research grants. Researchers focusing on the social, cultural, economic or political development of Taiwan over the past few decades are especially encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to collaborative projects with scholars in Taiwan. Research grants are usually given for no more than two years.
